New Collaboration MMC, Citroën and Peugeot

In 2012 a new compac SUV will come from new collaboration of 3 automotive corporation. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation and PSA Peugeot Citroen are now announced to be agree to start making its new compact SUV project.

The SUVs will have specific designs for Peugeot and Citroën while sharing many components with the Mitsubishi vehicle, named RVR in Japan and ASX in Europe. Both are available in 4 and 2-wheel drie and will produced 50.000 units per year for both brands.

This new SUV will be the rival of other SUV in the world. Other SUV that may be threatened are Honda CRV, Grand Vitara, Pajero, Rav4 and others.

As additional information, the collaboration between Mitsubishi, Citroen, and Peugeot were started since 2005 and the collaboration has produced SUV Mitsubishi Outlander, Peugeot 4007 and Citroën C-Crosser and others has launched n late 2010 of the Peugeot iOn and Citroën C-zero electric vehicles, based on MMC's Japanese i-MiEV (Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle) model.

Other collaboration of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is held with SUZUKI. This collaboration in Indonesia produce the most popular MPV from SUZUKI named APV, and Mitsubishi named MAVEN. But APV goes popular first.
